Quality Assurance Engineer, Mumbai, India

Overview

You will be responsible for all of Sproxil’s quality assurance program design and implementation, and interact with Sproxil team members across 3 continents. Responsibilities
The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for working with Sproxil’s technology team to:

Develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, and test cases for features within an agile development environment
Develop standards and procedures for measuring product quality and release readi-ness
Perform troubleshooting activities, and clearly document / track defects in defect tracking system (JIRA)
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements
Assist stakeholders and development team with defining user stories
Coordinate Quality Assurance (QA) test effort across multiple products
You will need to display great initiative and independence, together with strong organizational, relationship building and interpersonal skills. You will proactively resolve issues before they arise and promptly address technology needs as assigned by your supervisor.

This role reports to Sproxil’s global Director of Technology based in Boston, MA.

Qualifications

You will have these qualifications:

3+ years of QA experience with SaaS/web application testing
1+ years working in an agile development environment
Demonstrated experience designing and executing comprehensive test plans
Detail-oriented, impeccable problem solving skills
Experience working closely with developers and designers
Familiarity with JIRA or similar bug tracking software
High motivation and intelligence with strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. Alternative: professional training course on QA with transcript
Fluency in English
Ability to work in the Mumbai area in India without relocation
Flexible work schedule to accommodate global development teams

Additional qualifications that are desirable include:

Experience working with Selenium or other automated testing tools

Start-up / small company experience

Responsibilities
The Senior Database Engineer is responsible for working with Sproxil’s technology team to conceptualize and oversee the implementation of new Sproxil database structures and enhancements to existing Sproxil database structures. The individual will be responsible for:

Creating scalable database architectures for messaging platforms with complex customization requirements from clients
Benchmarking database system performance to optimize application architecture design choices
Implementing security policies to manage authorized data access
Upgrade existing systems to newer architecture
Providing Unix/Linux support to team members
Taking a leading role in design and implementation of solutions
Contribute to all aspects of the agile software-development life cycle
Conduct code reviews and provide assistance debugging and resolving customer escalations

You will have these qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience showing superior command of advanced MySQL database architecture, management and query optimization techniques
Areas of excellence should include:
Optimizing connection loads between applications and databases
Implementing large database replication, scaling, backup and restore techniques
Creating efficient data models, schemas, stored procedures, cached queries and triggers
Minimum 4 years operating primarily in a Linux/Unix environment
Candidates will be required to demonstrate a strong knowledge of Linux systems during the interview process
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform
High motivation and intelligence with strong interpersonal and oral/written communi-cation skills
Fluency in English
Ability to work in the Mumbai area in India without relocation

A bachelor’s degree

Additional qualifications that are desirable include:

Past experience with HBase and Hadoop is advantageous but not required

Overview
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for revenue generation in key segments including FMCG, pharmaceuticals, and agri-business. Responsibilities
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for selling Sproxil’s award-winning solutions in the Indian market. You will develop and maintain relationships with the target customers to drive the company’s sales on a global basis. You will have complete responsibility for your customer relationships and will be held accountable for total account sales, margins and overall relationship status. Reviewing micro market analyses, you will determine customer needs, sales volume potential, and pricing schedules that will meet the company’s goals.

Qualifications
A highly reliable individual with enthusiasm, service orientation, and attention to detail is required, combined with excellent organization and communication skills. You will have these qualifications:

A Master’s degree in business/commerce from a reputed university
At least 2 – 4 years of successful consultative sales experience involving promoting and selling systems or concepts that increase client sales and brand value
Experience managing and closing intricate sales with multiple decision-makers
Skills in negotiating pricing of complex offerings
Comfort creating sales and marketing materials and presenting in public
High motivation and intelligence with expert interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
Ability to operate independently and flexibly in a start-up environment which is both demanding and multicultural
Availability for domestic travel (up to 50%)
